And for your final wish? Blender December 2007
This project was something I created especially for an upcoming toon-themed issue of a digital art publication in the Blender community called Blenderart Magazine.
It was a fun and challenging project, particularly in terms of shaders, render nodes, composition, and stylization.
Some technical information:
The scene spans five layers and uses a variety of techniques, from particles to render passes, all of which are handled internally in Blender's render node network. No post-processing was necessary.
The scene itself combines stylized elements of both 3D and 2D geometry.
Storywise, this is of course inspired by one of the stories in the very old and entertaining piece of literature known as The Thousand and One Nights, that being the story of Alladin and the genies.
I wanted this to be a vivid and slightly whimsical rendition of the classic story of a discovered genie who can grant wishes and a wisher contemplating a final request.
I hope you enjoy this image, and I wish everyone happy holidays and a good new year.
Take care, and thank you for your interest in my work,
