The idea of an "awakened snowman" becoming aware of a larger world beyond the snow globe proved to be a very interesting project to create!

Like most of my projects with a philosophical edge to them, I had a number of thoughts going into this and tried to refine and integrate those concepts so the image could either exist simply ("just a snowglobe" or a "nice holiday image") or as something potentially more meaningful if someone wanted to consider it a bit longer.

At this moment, the snowman stands near the edge of his elaborately staged world and sees some "real" snow for the first time.

Well, I would like to take a moment and wish all my fellow artists out there happy holidays and continued artistic successes.
